This release introduces improvements to accessibility, analytics accuracy, usability, and platform stability. These updates help you manage your search experience more easily while providing better insights into how visitors use search on your website.
Accessibility and Usability Improvements
Major enhancements were made to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 A and AA criteria. The search interface now offers improved keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and higher visual contrast. Layouts remain accessible at 400% zoom, and touch targets are larger for better mobile usability. ARIA labels and semantic structures have been refined for all interactive elements, making the platform more inclusive for all users.
Enhanced Locale and Language Support
UK English (en_GB) is now fully supported across the Search API, frontend, and integration flows. This includes dedicated translation files, improved locale handling, and seamless integration with Activate for UK-based customers. These changes ensure a consistent and reliable experience for users in the UK.
Security and Data Handling
Sensitive user data, such as email addresses, is now handled more securely by transmitting it only in request bodies and never in URLs. User invitation and authentication flows have been updated to better protect personal information and align with best practices.
Improved Account and Data Management
Account copying and datafield mapping for recommenders have been enhanced to ensure data consistency. Soft deletes are now implemented across relevant tables, and filter management has been improved to allow renaming even after deletion, reducing friction for administrators.
Analytics and Reporting Accuracy
Duplicate search queries from the same session are now filtered out, preventing inflated analytics and ensuring more accurate reporting.
Integration and Event Sync
Activate Search Event Sync is now available, enabling seamless synchronization of search interaction data with Spotler Activate. This improves analytics accuracy and personalization capabilities, especially for journey tracking
User Experience Enhancements
The synonyms management page now allows users to save changes even if some entries contain errors, streamlining workflows. The translations page and data import processes have been improved for reliability and ease of use. Filter templates and search input behaviors have been refined for better usability on both desktop and mobile devices.
Bug Fixes and Stability
Numerous bugs have been addressed, including issues with filter renaming, search input behavior, client template toggling, and recommender styling. These fixes contribute to a more stable and predictable user experience.
