In this article, you will learn how to set up an integration between Spotler Activate Search and CCV Shop. This integration allows you to enhance your CCV Shop with the powerful search capabilities of Spotler Activate Search.

Step 1 – Install the Spotler Activate Search App
To begin setting up the integration, the first step is to install the Spotler Activate Search app. This will generate a product feed and install the Spotler Activate Search widget on your webshop.
Start by logging into the Onderhoudspanel of your CCV Shop and go to the App Store. Search for 'Spotler Activate Search' and click on the app. In the app screen, click the Install button and proceed to grant the necessary permissions.
Next, you need to register with Webshop-koppelingen.nl to link your webshop to your Webshop-koppelingen.nl account. Follow the instructions to complete registration, and once logged in, you will see a confirmation of the installation. Close the screen by clicking on the Close button.
Step 2 – Set Up the Webshop-koppelingen.nl Dashboard
Go to webshop-koppelingen.nl and log in. Click on the Spotler Activate Search logo in the menu and navigate to Settings.
Once in the settings, configure the necessary options and click the Save and Generate Feed button. This will pull the products from your webshop and store them in the app. The available languages will also be fetched from your webshop. Be aware that changes in languages will not refresh automatically. If you activate new languages in your webshop, you will need to reinstall the Spotler Activate Search app.
Make sure to set the following options:
- Fallback to NL account number: Yes – This is your default Spotler Activate Search account.
- Only active products: Yes – Spotler Activate Search will display only active products.
- Only in-stock products: Yes/No – Choose whether to display products that are out of stock.
Step 4 – Set Up the Product Feed
Now that your account is ready, go back to the Webshop-koppelingen.nl dashboard and input your Spotler Activate Search ID. You can find the Spotler Activate Search ID in the top right corner of the MySpotler dashboard. It will look like SA-XXXXXX. Enter your Spotler Activate Search ID for each language you wish to use.
If you leave the ID empty for a language, Spotler Activate Search will not load for that language. If you want to fall back to your Dutch account, set the Fallback to NL account number (Terugval naar NL accountnummer) option to Yes. Once done, click Save to save your settings.
Step 5 – Finalize and Test the Integration
After setting everything up, the final step is to activate the Spotler Activate Search widget. Click the Activate button, and Spotler Activate Search will now load on your webshop when a search is performed in the search bar. Test the integration to ensure it is working properly.
Step 6 – Optimize Search Experience
To enhance the search experience for your customers, you can configure keywords and product attributes. There are two ways to provide Spotler Activate Search with this information:
- Option 1: Populate keywords in CCV Shop and group them in the Webshop-koppelingen.nl app. During synchronization, all keywords will be retrieved and stored in the app.
- Option 2: Use the free CCV Shop product attributes app to create both the keyword groups and the keywords. The Spotler Activate Search plugin will pull these values and use them to create filters in Spotler Activate Search.
Both options help optimize the search experience, but the second option provides the additional benefit of displaying the product attributes directly on the product page of your webshop.
