This step-by-step guide will help you integrate Spotler Activate Search with your Shopware store. Follow these steps to seamlessly connect your Shopware store with Spotler Activate Search and improve your site search functionality.

Step 1 – Install and configure the Spotler Activate Search plugin

Depending on the version of Shopware you are using, follow the appropriate steps below:

For Shopware 5

  • Go to the Shopware 5 plugin page and download the Spotler Activate Search plugin.
  • Install the plugin in your Shopware 5 store.
  • Configure the plugin to generate the product feed for Spotler Activate Search. This feed will include the required data to optimize your search functionality.
  • Enhance your feed by adding additional properties such as ‘color’, ‘material’, or ‘size’ to improve search results and filtering options.
  • If you use a multi-store setup, the plugin supports unlimited Store Views, allowing you to generate a product feed for each Store View.

For Shopware 6

  • Go to the Shopware 6 plugin page and download the Spotler Connect plugin.
  • Install the plugin in your Shopware 6 store.
  • Connect the plugin with your Spotler Activate account and other necessary e-commerce systems (e.g., ESP, CDP).
  • Map your customer data and synchronize it across platforms to enhance data accuracy and streamline operations.
  • Enable webhooks for real-time synchronization and configure XML feeds for smoother processing of product data.

Step 2 – Implement the Site Search snippet

To enable the search bar on your website, you must implement the Site Search snippet. This process is the same for all users, regardless of whether you are using Shopware 5 or Shopware 6:
